Alright, fellow The Voice fans, it’s finally that time. We’re at the point where the coaches no longer have a say, where the group is small enough that everything happens in two easy days, and where your votes are super important.
Actually, the real good news is that The Voice Confessional is back, so that’s a major plus side. It’s hilarious as usual, and this time we learn basically that Christina has a lot of dogs, Adam has a puppy, and Cee Lo essentially owns a zoo. The singers also get some fun moments in, including James showing off his juggling skills and Caroline finding out she actually can sing. It was a great Confessional launch.
There were also the usual performances, all of which were great. The first was the amazing Sara Bareilles singing her single “Brave,” joined eventually by Kat, Tessanne, Caroline and Jacquie. Sara is great live and this was one of the best guest performances in a while.
Team Adam did a great cover of “A Hard Day’s Night.” The group of them sound great together, especially when joined by Adam. The song was filled with powerful vocals and a really fun dynamic between the team.
Team Cee Lo also performed together, covering “Roam.” It wasn’t as strong and cohesive as Team Adam, but that’s probably due to them being a more eclectic group. It was a fun performance and Caroline in particular really shined.
In terms of eliminations we found out pretty quickly who was safe. The bottom three this week were Kat, Jonny and Josh. Team Cee Lo had two of the three bottom three, which was not at all surprising based on how thing have been going. This is where the #VoiceSave came in.
Basically, it was like a second chance for the bottom three to be saved, therefore giving any favorites who accidentally slipped to go on another week. That’s essentially what happened this week when Kat was saved by the Twitter vote. The show did a great job instructing on it and making it work, which is also worth noting. So Josh and Jonny went home, which was only a little unexpected.
As a result, this is our Top 10:
Team Cee Lo
