UPDATE: NBC Releases Series Cancellations, Renewals, and Pickups

**UPDATE: NBC released this afternoon that their series Dracula has been cancelled.

And the hits just keep on coming. Following the release of several picked up and renewed series, NBC reached the most dreaded category: cancellations.

Here’s worst first. NBC has ordered the cancellation of the following series:

  • Community
  • Revolution
  • Believe
  • Growing Up Fisher
  • Crisis
  • Ironside
  • The Micheal J. Fox Show
  • Sean Saves the World
  • Welcome to the Family

Some of the cancellations are huge surprises for the fans, especially to those of Community and Revolution. However, even though Community has been running for five seasons, its viewer count hit a low point with only 3.8 million this season. Revolution reined in 7.3 million viewers for its second season, falling quite a bit from its 10.5 million viewers during season one. Combined with their ratings, the two series were undoubtedly heading for the chopping block. Other shows, such as Believe and Growing Up Fisher were only in their first season, but ratings cut their time short as well.

Not all the news is bad, though!  Here are the series that have been renewed by NBC:

  • Hannibal
  • About a Boy
  • The Blacklist
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Grimm
  • Law & Order: SVU
  • Chicago Fire
  • Chicago PD
  • The Voice
  • America’s Got Talent
  • Hollywood Game Night

NBC has also picked up the following series:

  • Constantine
  • The Mysteries of Laura
  • Odyssey
  • Allegiance
  • State of Affairs
  • Marry Me
  • Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  • Mr. Robinson
  • Bad Judge
  • One Big Happy
  • Mission Control
  • A to Z

We will all spend some time crying over the cancelled shows, but we can always look forward to enjoying the all new ones (at least until NBC decides to cancel all of them next year)!

Other NBC shows are still awaiting their fate, so stay tuned for more information!
