Tyler Hoechlin Joins the Cast of Supergirl as Supes Himself

It’s only been a little over a week since it was announced that the man of steel himself would make a full fledged appearance on the second season of Supergirl, but we already have our newest Clark Kent. Teen Wolf alum Tyler Hoechlin will be filling out the cape when Supergirl returns this fall on its new network, the CW.

In season one, we had a handful of vague Superman cameos. A silhouette here, an IM conversation there. But in the new season, Clark will be showing up in at least the first two episodes.

“Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg of the casting. “We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”

There’s no premier date set for season two of Supergirl, but it will be airing Mondays at 8:00pm.

What do you folks think about the casting? Do you think Hoechlin will make a good Clark Kent? Let us know!
