With Phase One complete and Phase Two well underway, there are plenty of Marvel movies to pack into a day at the theater. Mathematically, that works out to more than a day, in fact.
To prove it, several theaters are holding Ultimate Marvel Marathon events leading up the official premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1. The event promises to be an intense experience featuring all 11 films in roughly 29 hours.
We’re equal parts excited and exhausted just looking at the Marathon schedule, which kicks off April 29 at a handful of locations owned by AMC Theaters, Regal Entertainment Group, Cinemark, Megaplex, Harkins, and National Amusements. Those with the power to make it through will be rewarded with a limited edition medallion at the end.
6:00pm Iron Man
8:25pm The Incredible Hulk
10:35pm Iron Man 2
3:10am Captain America: The First Avenger
5:30am The Avengers
8:48am Iron Man 3
11:15am Thor: The Dark World
1:45pm Captain America: The Winter Soldier
4:20pm Guardians of the Galaxy
7:00pm Avengers: Age of Ultron
These are the currently announced locations for Ultimate Marathons that we were able to round up. Additional theaters’ announcements should be on the way soon. Let us know if you hear about more!
If you’re not sure you’re up for the Ultimate challenge, many theaters are also hosting shorter marathons or Double Feature events, mostly on April 30. For times, locations, and more details, check with your favorite theaters to see if they’re in on the action. We did the footwork on gathering some links to get you started with AMC Theaters, Regal Entertainment Group, Alamo Drafthouse, and Cinemark (both a shorter marathon and double feature).
All participating theaters seem to be using the same poster, with the theater logo changed in the lower right. Check it out below.
Whether you choose to marathon slowly at home, binge on them all at these Ultimate events, or something in between, start planning soon because Avengers: Age of Ultron will be upon us in just two months!
