Though the biggest ceremonies of awards season have wrapped up, there are still a few more chances to see our favorite shows and movies receive the accolades they deserve. The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films announced the nominees for the Saturn Awards in a live stream earlier today, with the full list now available on their website.

With their specific focus on genre entertainment, the Saturn Awards are particularly important for their focus on films and series that are traditionally snubbed by the major award ceremonies. Highlighting this distinction, and proving that the Saturn Awards are a refuge of the geeky, is this year’s new award category: Best Superhero Adaptation Television Series. The academy also honors the best comic book film adaptation, as well as the best in sci-fi, fantasy, and horror.

Leading the film nominees is Captain America: The Winter Soldier with 11 nominations. Among many great and geeky films, some other fan favorites on the list include Guardians of the Galaxy with 9 nominations, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies (7), Into the Woods (5), and X-Men: Days of Future Past (5).

On the television front, The Walking Dead holds a decisive lead with 7 nominations, while Hannibal is close behind with 6. Some of the other nominees that have us excited are Agent CarterThe Flash, and The Librarians, all with three nominations.

If you are interested in being involved with the voting, the Academy has also announced a new “Affiliate Membership” program, which will allow fans to vote in selected categories for a small fee. The 41st Annual Saturn Awards will take place on June 25, 2015.
