Another villain is heading to Starling City.

Neal McDonough has been cast as Damien Darhk in the fourth season of the CW’s  Arrow. The character is described as a mysterious, cunning, sophisticated villain who was a rival of the late Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable). Once a renegade member of the League of Assassins, he’s now the leader of his own clandestine group, and will prove to be one of the Arrow’s greatest challenges. Darhk was previously mentioned towards the end of last season and is apparently behind many of the series’ events.

McDonough will appear on the show as a series regular. He’s no stranger to the superhero world, having previously played Dum Dum Dugan, one of the Howling Commandos, in Marvel’s Captain America, Agents of S.H.IE.L.D., and Agent Carter. He also voiced the the Green Arrow in a number of DC animated projects.

Arrow returns to TV on October 7, 2015.
