In what may be one of the most bipolar days for fans of NBC’s greatest shows, earlier today the network doled out the fates for two of its biggest fandom properties.
Horror-drama Hannibal was renewed this morning for a 3rd season. The show, while not the strongest in the ratings game, remains one of the highest critically acclaimed dramas. The show also managed to maintain its ratings average from its first season, despite being moved to Fridays.
Later, NBC decided to finally swing the axe on perpetual bubble show, Community.
Community, which made big news last year when Dan Harmon returned to helm its 5th season, was a well loved, but poorly rated sitcom. Here’s hoping that some sort of magic will get fans their sixth season (and a movie). Perhaps a short season direct to Hulu?
