Katniss has returned from the Hunger Games and now lives in the Victor’s Village in District 12. President Snow (looking like the creep he is) pays her a visit. Her stunt with the berries to commit suicide at the end of the Games has inspired revolts, and he’s not happy. He warns her she must convince the public, and himself, that the act was out of love, not rebellion.

Katniss and Peeta tour the other districts while pretending to be cute and in love. In District 11, Peeta donates his winnings to the families of lost tributes, and Katniss apologizes for not saving Rue’s life. A man in the crowd whistle’s Rue’s tune and leads the crowd in a three-finger salute to Katniss.  So much for avoiding rebellion.

Katniss and Peeta decide the only way to get Snow off their back is to announce their marriage. Caesar Flickerman – and the rest of the Capitol – freaks out. They ship them so hard. Gale watches the engagement, full of angst.

President Snow holds a raging house party and gives a speech to honor Katniss and Peeta. At the end, he surveys Katniss from across the room and shakes his head. Dude is not convinced.
