Marvel’s presentations at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con have officially begun, and with them, we’ve been blessed with a ton of great content from Marvel’s shows on Netflix. Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and The Defenders all spent a little time in the spotlight, but we’ll have to wait for Jessica Jones to start filming its second season before we get any goodies there.
First up, let’s ease into the action with Marvel and Netflix’s SDCC sizzle reel featuring Daredevil and Jessica as they set us up for Luke’s fall debut. The reel even ends on Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, perhaps as a nod to Netflix’s Punisher spinoff.
The Luke Cage trailer definitely echoes the first teaser we saw: it seems like Luke entering a room and getting repeatedly attacked to killer music is going to be a bit of a recurring theme, but one that we’re okay with as long as he comes out on top. Luke Cage hits Netflix September 30.
And as far as The Defenders are concerned, Marvel and Netflix have us covered there, too. The show—which has yet to enter production—received its first teaser at SDCC, complete with gritty graphics pertaining to each of the four characters we’ll see in the series.
Last, but absolutely not least, we received a Daredevil season three announcement. It’s a great assurance that the series’ third season is still on track, though its premiere may be a bit delayed due to The Defenders 2017 premiere. Check it out below!
