J.K. Rowling Taking the Stage in NYC

Contributor

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that J.K. Rowling is making a special appearance in New York to take the stage and discuss her new book, The Casual Vacancy, on October 16.

With the new book set to be released on September 27, this is a chance for fans to hear some of the author’s thoughts on her newest release and what it’s like to write for a new type of audience.

Rowling will be taking the stage with Ann Patchett, author of State of Wonder, at the Lincoln Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City. You can grab tickets starting on September 10 and each ticket includes a copy of the book, so plug this into your calendars.

Rowling hasn’t done a public event like this in years and fans are likely to be all over this unique chance. Get over to NYC and start looking to buy tickets because there is no doubt they are going to sell out fast!

Are you travelling to NYC for the event? Let us know in the comments!

Wow. I don’t think any person who likes her enough to go to her event will wait until then to get a copy of the book, but sounds amazing. I know I can’t afford to go to NYC, but hopefully some Leakies will be there so I can live vicariously!

I hit redial over a hundred times and then was placed on hold for another 35 minutes but just when I was about to give up an operator came on the phone and I got the tickets. I am flying in from Chicago and taking my sister!
