New images have emerged from the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier displaying a new look for the first Avenger.
The pictures, taken from the daily coverage over at The Plain Dealer, show Chris Evans’ stunt double riding a motorcycle in what is being reported as Captain America’s new suit. The new ensemble has a much darker coloring than the patriotic red, white, and blue suit used by Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) and The Avengers (2012).
The suit pictured on set has interestingly been colored grey-blue with the new addition of the single star and stripes across his chest. It also looks as though the Captain’s ears have been left uncovered by his mask, which has not been seen in the previous films.
In comparison the original suit, pictured in Captain America: The First Avenger used the patriotic colors of red, white and blue.
Despite the changes to his suit in the sequel, it seems that the Captain’s shield has visually remained the same.
Captain America: The Winter soldier is set to be released on April 4, 2014 and will follow Steve Rogers (a.k.a Captain America), played by Chris Evans, as he struggles to embrace his role in the modern world. Black Widow will make an appearance in the sequel film, and the pair team up to battle a powerful but shadow-y enemy in present day Washington D.C.
