With the excitement in Hall H and all the news coming out of San Diego Comic-Con, you may have missed the announcement that two big comic universes are preparing for a new crossover event featuring a team-up between the Caped Crusader and the Heroes in a Half Shell.
That’s right, the aptly named Batman / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is coming our way this fall.
In a joint effort from DC and IDW Publishing, the six-issue series will see TMNT villain General Krang transport the Turtles and Shredder to Gotham City in an attempt to rid himself of his foes. There, the Turtles will team up with Batman against Shredder and the familiar rogues of Gotham in order to find a way home.
The comics will be written by James Tynion IV with art by Freddie E. Williams II. The creator of TMNT, Kevin Eastman, as well as other yet-to-be-announced artists will contribute variant covers.
Check out two of Williams’ covers below.
Batman / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is scheduled for release this November.
