Marvel released today that actor Daniel Bruhl will be starring in one of the most highly anticipated Phase 3 movies, Captain America: Civil War. Best known for his roles in Rush and The Fifth Estate, Bruhl will be playing one of the villains in the movie, though not the main one, as Variety reported.
He will join the ever glorious cast, including Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and newcomer Chadwick Boseman (recently introduced as Black Panther). Joe and Anthony Russo will direct the film, continuing their work with Captain America storyline after their success with The Winter Solider earlier this year.
Speaking of the Russo brothers, a rumor has arisen that they will be taking over the director’s chair for Avengers: Infinity War, Part 1 and Part 2 from Joss Whedon. Nothing is confirmed yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
