Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald) has been doing the media rounds while promoting his new film, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, which is apparently a Valentine’s Day or Love Actually-esque (emphasis on the esque) film about pregnancies and creepy connections between strangers to show that the world is small or whatever. Anyway this means some great interview fodder from Crawford to calm those Finale Day nerves.
From an interview with The Independent, complete with some translation from this editor:
“I think everyone [On Gossip Girl] is kind of, not sick of each other, but wants to challenge themselves with another thing.”
- Read: everyone on Gossip Girl is sick of each other.
“Really, [choosing What to Expect When You're Expecting] I just wanted to work in my hiatus last summer, there is no big strategy. “
- Read: There is a Big Strategy. Also a secret plan to fight inflation.
“[Asked about any plans to start a family] I might need to start off with a plant or a dog first, and then maybe a mortgage. We’ll see what happens after that.”
“I was a late bloomer, so I was always like trying to catch up. I had the awful highlighted hair and the shell necklaces and the braces, the whole deal. Terrible,”
“I’m not really in a commanding position to be picking out every single role I like, so you take what you can get and hope you take the ones that challenge you.”
“I’ve actually visited a bunch of theatres [in the West End] and talked to some people. It would be down the road but I would absolutely love to do it. It doesn’t get any greater than getting up on stage in front of a live audience and putting yourself out there every night.”
Always one for the sports analogies, Chace told HollywoodLife, “I’m out. I’m the ref, I’m just watching” in regards to the Chuck/Blair or Dan/Blair debate. He also bought Anna Kendrick a lap dance for her 26th birthday. The dancer (or… lapper?) was a 60 year old woman. Oh deary me.
