At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, CW shows Arrow and The Flash promised to be bigger and better in their next seasons, bringing in new problems for our heroes and, more excitingly, some new characters as well.

During the Arrow panel, it was announced that Mr. Terrific and Anarky will be coming to season 4, and one of those roles has already been filled!

Echo Kellum has been cast as Curtis Holt, a.k.a Mr. Terrific. According to EW, Mr. Terrific is “a technological savant and inventor who works at Palmer Technologies under the supervision of Felicity Smoak.” Holt will show up early in the season, in episode two.

And as for The Flash, the speedsters Jerry Garrick, Wally West, and Zoom have all been confirmed for next season, but there are two new additions to the cast as well.

adam edge

WWE star Adam “Edge” Copeland will be portraying a new villain, Atom Smasher, ComicBook.com reports. And according to his character description, he will be a formidable foe for Barry Allen. ”One of the most powerful enemies we encounter this season, Atom Smasher has come to Central City to kill The Flash. His incredible strength and ability to grow to enormous size makes him more than a match for Flash and the entire S.T.A.R. Labs team will have to come together to find a way to defeat him.”

ironside

The other new addition to The Flash cast is Michael Ironside as Captain Cold’s estranged, abusive father. The THR article that broke the news says that Lewis Snart is “a cold-blooded, ruthless career criminal. Recently released from prison, he returns to Central City with a plan that will endanger both of his children. In the comics, not much is known about the Snart patriarch other than the fact that he was so abusive to his son — the future Captain Cold — that the boy spent more time with his grandfather who ran an ice truck.” Snart will be appearing in the third episode of season two, as will his two children, Captain Cold and Golden Glider.

Arrow will premiere Wednesday, October 8, and The Flash premieres October 6.
