The Aquaman Movie Has a New Screenwriter

Just because a movie already has a screenwriter, doesn’t mean it can’t use a second. Or even a third. THR is reporting that 2018’s Aquaman movie has signed on another scribe: David Leslie Johnson.

The film’s other writers, Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad, are both developing separate scripts simultaneously. According to THR, it’s still not clear if Johnson has been hired to work on yet another separate script, or if he’ll be working with director James Wan to streamline the project.

With Jason Momoa as the Dweller in the Depths himself, Aquaman will appear in the upcoming Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice film before starring in his solo movie.
